Enjoy Bike Riding In Myrtle Beach
Landmark Resort is located on the beach yet the sand paths are not usually ideal for biking. Myrtle Beach does offer plenty of places for your family to stay active together while exploring the area's beauty on bicycles.
The Market Common is a hamlet in Myrtle Beach that has a fantastic park with a walking and bike-riding trail around the perimeter. Valor Park has not only a bike riding trail but also fields for ball games, a pond with ducks and geese and park bench swings with a view overlooking the pond. Park your bikes at the park and check out the shops, sweet shops and restaurants in The Market Common. Enjoy the lovely layout, clean streets and get a bite to eat with your family before resuming your ride.
Myrtle Beach State Park can make for an all day excursion, but bike riding for sure is on the list when you visit a place like this. There are nature trails inviting to bikers for a shaded, green adventure through the woods of the park. For a small fee, your family can enjoy the fishing pier, playground, swimming and a chance to enjoy exotic bird watching. Come here with your bikes and stay for much more.
Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is perfect for a scenic bike ride with your family during permitted times (which is any time during the off season but is limited to between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. from May 1 through Labor Day). Biking on the sand is nearly impossible but biking on the Boardwalk allows the ocean breeze to fan your face and fill your lungs as you bike along the mile-long wooden trail. Park your bikes to enjoy the sights, and grab a bite along the beach.
HULK is the Horry County Bike and Run Park located in Myrtle Beach. These trails welcome beginners and families, athletes and fitness fanatics. You may even prefer to gaze upon the hard working trainers as they work on triathlons and more. Pack a lunch and spread out on a patch of grass for a sun catching break and bring a ball for some alternate activities.
Beach Bike Shop is located in downtown Myrtle Beach. If you prefer to rent bikes rather than transporting your own, Beach Bike Shop is the place to pick up any size bicycle you may need. There are also bikes for sale and a repair shop on site.
The oceanfront sandy beaches can be fun to bike on if you stick to the patted down sand areas when the tide is low. Keep in mind that bicycles are only allowed on the beach in the city before 10 a.m. and after 5 p.m. from May 1 to Labor Day.
Set out to stay active while on vacationing in Myrtle Beach. After a successful bike ride outing with your family, Landmark's pools, lazy rivers, and whirlpools will be welcoming with a relaxing cool down and heated therapy for your hard worked muscles.
