Top Three Events in November
Great autumn weather in Myrtle Beach makes for a great reason to partake in the events around the Grand Strand. November brings seasonal events to the area, all of which are perfect for the whole family. The Color Run 5k 2014 Kaleidoscope Tour- If your family is athletic and enjoys the outdoors, this is the perfect event to partake in together. The race will take place at Broadway at the Beach on November 1st. The nationally known Color Run is the most fun a group can have while in a friendly race. This race is famous for their throwing paint at the runners (in a fun way). Start out with a white shirt and cross the finish line covered in color. All of the participants of the Color Run in 2014 will receive an official “The Color Run Race Kit” which includes a custom t-shirt, tricolor headband, a specialized shoulder sling bag, temporary tattoos and more colorful gifts. The 42nd Annual Art in the Park- Taking place on Saturday, November 8th and Sunday November 9th is the 42nd Annual Art in the Park at Valor Park in Market Common. You will be amazed by about a hundred different vendors selling their specialized artwork in every form there is. Some of the pieces you may expect to find are purses, pillows, pottery, paintings, photography, metal yard art, leather, jewelry and much more. Come appreciate these talented hands and pick up items you cannot find in any franchised store. The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Ripley's Aquarium; Festival of Trees- Upright and lit will be the Festival of Trees throughout Ripley's Aquarium from Friday, November 7 through Wednesday, December 31st. The representation of the holidays though Christmas trees and their elaborate decorations have become a wildly famous pastime throughout the country. Ripley's Aquarium puts a special twist on their tour of the exotic sea life and Christmas trees by giving each tree a purpose of depicting their own state of the United States.
