2016 Fall Family Events


As we brace ourselves for what follows Labor Day weekend, no need to worry; for there is a place where vacation does not rescind into hibernation throughout the fall and winter months.  Landmark Resort and Myrtle Beach welcome families and couples year-round for a relaxing vacation with a splash of adventure and entertainment. There are plenty of autumn events taking place in the Myrtle Beach area, so be sure to mark them on your calendar!



 



44th Annual Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival



From September 23rd through the 25th come to Huntington Beach State Park near Murrells Inlet for this large and lovely Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival.  Over 100 artists will be on site displaying their work for recognition and for sale.  Enjoy handmade and timely sculpted art of all kinds, hand crafted items, food, and live music thanks to some of the area’s finest musicians.  Admission for adults ages 16 and older is 8 dollars per person while a multiple day pass for the festival will be 10 dollars.  Kids 15 and younger will have free admission. 



 



Brew at the Zoo



Oktoberfest in Myrtle Beach



On September 24th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Brookgreen Gardens will be holding a fundraising event called Brew at the Zoo.  The event allows you to cruise through part of the zoo and to taste over 30 regional and national craft beers. There will be live entertainment and a signature tasting glass given as a keepsake for guests. 



 



Oktoberfest



On October 14th and 15th, whether you are German or not, you are invited to celebrate with the rest of Myrtle Beach as we ring in fall and all things beer. You can look forward to enjoying free live concerts, authentic German food, beer, wine, and an alcohol-free zone for the kids. You will find this fabulous fest at Valor Park in The Market Common in Myrtle Beach. Click here for details and tickets



 



Gaither Fest



Make plans for Gaither Fest in Myrtle Beach on October 21 to 22, 2016 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and enjoy two evenings of concerts and a Saturday morning worship service featuring a power-packed line-up of the finest voices in gospel music. The cost is $100 for adults and $35 for children. (Handling fee $5.50 per ticket)



 



Art in the Park



The Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild will hold its Annual Art in the Park on Oct, 8 and 9 from 10 am until 4 pm both days in Chapin Park, 1400 N. Kings Hwy., Myrtle Beach. The event is free and open to the public. The event will feature works by over 60 artists from the East Coast and as far away as Tennessee with about 20 of those artists being from the local Myrtle Beach area. Typical art will include original paintings, woodworking, photography, jewelry, fabric, glass, metal, pottery and stone. This festival is FREE for all to attend!



 



Taste of the Town



On October 18, St. Andrew Catholic School of Myrtle Beach will host one of the most popular social and culinary events in Myrtle Beach, Taste of the Town. Delight your palate with samplings of specialty menu items from 50 plus area restaurants! In addition, the event will feature live entertainment from U-N-I jazz band, Dino's TV Variety Show tribute artists, and the Soul Function Band. Taste of the Town will take place at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.



 



Harvest Home Festival



Fall Music Festival



Join Brookgreen Gardens for two days, October 1st and 2nd, filled with live entertainment and outdoor activities! The scarecrow-building contest, hay rides, and pumpkin painting patch are just a few of the events that make this a terrific fall festival!



 



Wine Festival at The Market Common



Don’t miss the Wine Festival at Valor Park in The Market Common on October 1st.  Enjoy the fall weather with live music and wine tastings!  Buy a glass for $5 and pay per tasting.  Admission is free so bring the whole family for this fabulous, fall time entertainment.



 



Dickens Christmas Show and Festival



The Myrtle Beach Convention Center presents The Dickens Christmas Show and Festivals as an authentic re-creation of 19th century London with all the color, warmth and merriment of Christmas during the time of Charles Dickens. From November 10th through the 13th, find your Christmas spirit. Attendees are magically transported back in time to an enchanting Victorian Holiday Marketplace complete with more than 350 period clad vendors, hawking everything from fine arts and crafts, gifts, Christmas décor and toys.



 



Annual S.C. State Bluegrass Festival



Three days of music with more than 20 live acts scheduled make for the biggest weekend of the year for local bluegrass fans at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on November 24th through the 26th. The Annual Bluegrass Festival will highlight artists including Larry Sparks and The Lonesome Ramblers, Ralph Stanley and The Clinch Mountain Boys, The Grascals, Dailey & Vincent, J.D. Crowe & The New South and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.
