Landmark Resort is nestled near the heart of Myrtle Beach and is close to some of the biggest attractions that the Grand Strand has to offer. Besides the array of amenities on-site, here is what your family will love in our neighborhood:

Myrtle Beach State Park

Just a few miles south of Landmark Resort is the Myrtle Beach State Park, which boasts some of the best fishing spots in Myrtle Beach.  While packing for vacation, don’t forget your poles.

Myrtle Beach State Park

With its small entrance fee, the park can be a day long activity for the family to enjoy together without breaking the bank.   There are also easy hiking trails for biking, bird watching and geocaching.  Bring your swim suit because there is a swimming area that has a life guard on duty. Pack a lunch and enjoy the picnic tables while the kids tire out on the playground

Family Kingdom

Less than a mile from Landmark is one of the best amusement parks in the area. Admission into the park is free, and there are plenty of classic games for all ages to play. You can buy rides individually for $1.15 plus tax, which is convenient for budgeting out how much you want to spend at Family Kingdom. If you decide to splurge, one all day unlimited ride wristband for adults and children is only $27.35 plus tax.

Market Common

The picturesque park with a pond in the middle, baseball field and brand new playground, is just one of the pieces of Market Common that makes it desirable to visitors and residents alike. There are restaurants, a movie theatre and shopping stores as well. For a fun day on a budget, you can bring a picnic and enjoy outdoor sports with the kids.  Plus, Market Common offers several free movie viewings and concerts during the summer. Come on a Friday evening and catch a free movie projected on a huge screen in the center of Market Common. Bring a chair and blanket and arrive early to get a good spot. The movies start at 9:00 pm.  For a list of the movies playing this season, click here. The third Thursday of every month there is a free concert in the park from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Beer, wine and snack will be sold on the premises. A picture perfect memory opportunity presents itself every Tuesday this summer at Market Common. Free horse drawn carriage rides are given from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
