Toddlers will love the diversity of beachfront, wildlife, and activities at Myrtle Beach State Park. And families will enjoy the area’s secluded location and outdoor adventure for all ages.
Surf fishing and pier fishing are two of the most popular activities at Myrtle Beach State Park. The Myrtle Beach Pier juts out into the Atlantic Ocean making for prime saltwater fishing that your little ones will remember for years to come.
Visitors will get to enjoy a 1-mile stretch of nearly undeveloped beach. This beach is typically less busy than other beaches on the Grand Strand so families won’t have to worry about limited space to relax and enjoy the sun, sand, and surf.
Two hiking trails, no more than 0.5 miles in length, provide plenty of sights and sounds that will interest all ages. The woodlands the trails wind through are home to various types of trees and plants and many species of birds, amphibians, and reptiles.
Little ones will enjoy getting to see the saltwater aquariums, live reptiles, and interactive natural history displays at the education center. Outside of the education center is a wildlife habitat with bird feeders, birdhouses, a butterfly garden, and nature sculptures.
