September Events in Myrtle Beach
Even as the summer quickly comes to a close, the beach festivities will continue on. Special events and festivals fall into Myrtle Beach in September. Check your vacation schedule to pencil in some of these fabulous events:
35th Annual Aynor Harvest Hoedown Festival- On September 20th 2014 head into downtown Aynor for a true southern country style festival. It includes hundreds of arts, crafts and food vendors. There will be a parade at 10 a.m., children's entertainment throughout the day, musical entertainment starting at 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., and a street dance from 7 to 10 p.m. This is an ideal way to welcome the fall weather with your family.
23rd Annual St. Johns Greek Festival- From September 25, 2014 through September 28, 2014 the St. Johns Church holds a Greek Festival every year with a variety of Greek food and pastries. There are also games and inflatables for children. There are craft vendors with handmade pieces that are unique to the creators. The Greek festival also has an assortment of fresh flowers that are available for purchase. St. Johns church is located across the street from Planet Hollywood near Broadway at the Beach.
South Carolina's Largest Garage Sale- Most vacations include a shopping spree, so why not grab all of your desired items under one roof and for a fraction of the retail cost. On September 6th at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, there will be everything from clothes to toys to crafts and more. The sale will begin at 7:00 a.m. And be open until 2:00 p.m. There is no charge for admission and parking at the Convention Center is $3.00 per car.
