Myrtle Beach Golf: Stay and Play at The Landmark Resort Hotel! Course of the week – Arrowhead

Aaron is an avid golfer and will be providing personal insight to some of his favorite courses.
Arrowhead Country Club is a 27-hole club located in Myrtle Beach just off of highway US 501. Designed by Raymond Floyd and Tom Jackson, Arrowhead has been awarded as the South Carolina Golf Course of the year and consistently ranked as a favorite by locals and visitors. Residing by the Intracoastal Waterway more than a few holes offer spectacular views. Arrowhead features a fully stocked Pro Shop, restaurant, on-site driving range as well as a large putting and chipping areas.
The 3 nine hole courses that are available to play are the Cypress, Lakes and Waterway. They have recently installed Mini-Verde greens that have received rave reviews. On my most recent visit I played the Cypress and Waterway. Playing from the white tees the two nine’s play Par 72 at 6183 yards with a course rating of 124 and a slope rating of 69.1. While the course is not particularly long, water comes into play on many of the holes making approach shots require more carry. This is especially noticed on the par 5’s. The course itself was in great shape and reflects on their reputation of being one of the best maintained courses in the area.
I recommend Arrowhead to friends, family and golf package guests on regular basis and have always received fantastic feedback. Arrowhead also offers a FREE 9 hole promotion during certain times of the year which allows you to play all 27 holes for the price of 18. Children under the age of 16 play free with a paying adult which is great for families.
