Upon opening in 1995 Caledonia was ranked 5th Best New Public Course in America by Golf Digest and was recently ranked 30th in the 'Top 100 You Can Play' by Golf Magazine 2000. Golf Digest has further ranked Caledonia as one of the Top 31 Best Upscale Courses in America as well as awarding it 4-1/2 stars in it's 'Places to Play' section '96-'02. Considered one of the most difficult golf courses on the Grand Strand, this Jack Nicklaus-designed masterpiece was built to challenge even the most adroit golfer.
