What is going on in Central Myrtle Beach?

In the heart of Myrtle Beach there are endless places for entertainment no matter your age, or fun factor.

Hollywood Wax Museum: New to Myrtle Beach this summer is the celebrity life-like wax statue museum.  It is located at the intersection of Highway Bypass 17 and 21st Avenue. These statues are life-like and hand sculpted forms of art that take up to three months to complete.  They are so delicately crafted that you can barely tell that they are not real!

Myrtle Beach SkyWheelBroadway at the Beach: They are expanding their fun by adding new stores, restaurants and rides, adding to the already existing fun attractions. Something most vacationers do not have easy accessibility to with reasonable prices is a family helicopter ride, which is a fairly new attraction.  Check out the south from a different view in a helicopter ride hundreds of feet off the ground. They are open for business 7 days a week and their operating hours are 9:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.  Make your reservations by calling 1-800-FLY-4-FUN. Other new rides at Broadway at the Beach include the one and only Freak-Out, the Rocket Flyer, which stands 180 feet tall and the Giant Slide which is 65 feet tall and the largest dry slide on the east coast.  Also the well-liked pirate ship ride that swings from side to side will be running for your enjoyment.  Plus, check out the Back Stage Mirror Maze, which has only been at Broadway for a couple of years, that brings you into an old era of the 1930's in the mafia ridden streets of New York City.  It is your job to help New York's officers through a maze with trap doors, corridors, props and turns. Whether you find mobsters or not, the experience will for sure be a fun filled mind bending experience.

Johnny D's Waffles and Bakery is the new breakfast and lunch rave of Myrtle Beach.  There are delicious twists on regular breakfast meals like red velvet French toast and omelets with a variety of choices.  Even their drink menu is extensive. Johnny D's has fresh fruit smoothies, chai lattes, frappuccinos, espressos and other coffee drinks.  It is located at 3301 N. Kings Hwy Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.

Downtown Myrtle Beach has been adding to its bright lights and festivities with more thrill rides in the past few years.  The free fall and the Myrtle Beach Zipline are two adventures that will make your hair stand up and your vacation stand out.  If you are less about the thrill and would just rather enjoy a beautiful ocean view from up above, the SkyWheel is the perfect ride for you.
