Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Summer Events

There is always something lively and entertaining happening in Myrtle Beach. While you enjoy your stay at Landmark Resort, you need not look too hard for things to do. Here are some festivals taking place during the warm months in this beautiful South Carolina beach side town.

Hot Summer Nights will bring a splash of culture, carnival, music and more to the Boardwalk all summer long! In motion from June until August, the Boardwalk will be booming with the best fireworks display in the area, live bands playing different genres of music and plenty of entertaining activities for children to enjoy. All this with an ocean view and the sweet smells of the ocean breeze and candy shops makes for the perfect night. Everything that you are looking for can be found at the Boardwalk by Downtown Myrtle Beach.

Market Common has much to offer for your family’s entertainment and at no cost to you. Starting on June 7th, there will be complimentary horse and carriage rides offered from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Dolce Lusso is the starting point for the carriage rides that you will no doubt enjoy after you have had your fill of dining and shopping. Bring a blanket and enjoy a movie under the stars. Beginning on June 5th and each Friday following, there will be a movie presentation at 9 p.m. of family friendly films at Valor Park located in the heart of Market Common. If you enjoy live music then join your fellow visitors and residents of Myrtle Beach on the third Thursday of the month in June, July and August for Concerts on the Green. Bring any receipt from The Market Common (no minimum required) and receive a free face painting from 5pm – 8pm in the Gazebo in front of City Mac on June 14, July 5 & 19 and August 9. There is always something to do in Myrtle Beach and Market Common offers some of the best entertainment near the beach.

Beach Boogie & BBQ Festival is a delicious three day celebration and competition on Labor Day Weekend. Located by the Horry Georgetown Technical College Conference Center at Market Common, this popular event features barbeque and food prepared for sale by vendors and competitors. A beer and wine garden will be the thirst quencher and just what is needed after filling up on fabulous barbeque dishes. There will also be free live entertainment during this two day event and other fun contests like a cornhole tournament, car show and wing competition. This is a family friendly festival which means there will be a child's area with inflatables, games and more. Come join the fun and food during this special occasion while you walk around and enjoy America's 'real' pastime; eating!  This party will ensue on September 4th and 5th

Whether you come for a week or a night, it is sure that you will enjoy your stay and we hope you find this helpful in finding out all that is going on in the Grand Strand area.  No matter what your style of fun is, there is no doubt that you and your family will make a memorable experience with the plethora of choices that Myrtle Beach offers.
